BLUES lovers have a chance to catch Josie Lloyd at the Bradninch Folk Club tonight.

Josie will be also be performing ragtime numbers and her own songs at the Duchy town's Castle Hotel.

She sets her standard high with guitar playing guided by the influence of Mark Knopfler and Steve Phillips.

There can be no doubt that she has absorbed and loved the early blues and ragtime from the 1900's into a passionate performance.

Doc Togen of the American Blues Forum described her performance of Shake That Thing as "the best British Blues I've heard since since Jo Ann Kelly passed".

Armed with a national resophonic guitar Josie has a voice which can raise a storm. There will be support acts including Ian and Jane (Queen of the Washboard) Gardener in a trio to provide an all-round entertaining evening.
