PAIGNTON Royal British Legion has welcomed Karen Taylor as its new poppy appeal organiser.

The committee member, who had a nephew serving in the forces, takes over from Major Ron Goodwin.

Major Goodwin has been the organiser for four years and has helped raise £105,000 thanks to dedicated volunteers.

The branch meets by kind permission at the Paignton Conservative Club on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm.
