League Two results: Exeter City go level on points with league leaders
Exeter City have gone level on points with League Two leaders Chesterfield following a 4-0 away with at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
Goals from Liam Sercombe (2), Arron Davies and Sam Parkin gave the Grecians the convincing win, which lifted them to third in the table.
Rochdale also moved up into the automatic promotion places as they beat struggling Cheltenham 2-1 away. Defender Troy Brown had given the Robins a second half lead, but two goals from Ian Henderson turned the match in favour of The Dale.
Their hopes of catching league leaders Chesterfield were boosted as the Spireites poor recent form continued at home to Burton Albion. Adam McGurk scored two goals inside 15 minutes to condemn Chesterfield to their third league defeat in four matches.
