Letter included error about runway land
WITH reference to the letter in yesterday's Herald "Show some leadership over airport". This was a very good letter regarding the airport but there was one glaring error. The email reply about a planning decision that people are receiving from the council does not refer to the main runway. The actual land referred to is part of a tranche of land on the short runway which was sold some time ago, outside of the fence where Runway Road now crosses the airport.
This does not infringe on Viable's plans in any way and they can duly proceed with future plans.
