Lorry stopped short of crashing into bridge on Embankment Road in Plymouth
Traffic along one of Plymouth's busiest routes was disrupted this afternoon after a lorry found itself too big to fit under a bridge.
The Royal Mail van came to a halt just before the railway bridge after the Plymouth Amateur Rowing Club house heading into the city at 1:35pm.

A police spokeswoman said: "The lorry was unable to reverse back up the one way route so the road was closed to allow the driver to turn around at the Lanhydrock Road junction.
The closure caused traffic delays along the A374 Embankment Road but the backlog was cleared by 2:45pm.
