ROWCROFT Hospice has launched its annual Light up a Life appeal.

It encourages people to remember a lost loved one by making a donation in their memory. The South Devon hospice stages the appeal every November and December, culminating in 10 Light up a Life services across South Devon.

The services offer an opportunity for people to find comfort in remembering a loved one at Christmas. Everyone is welcome to take part including those not touched by hospice care.

In return for a donation to the appeal, people can request a dedication to their loved ones in a Book of Light and a light on the Tree of Light, at Rowcroft. Last year's appeal raised £37,500 to help fund the work of the hospice, which provides care to over 1,800 terminally ill people each year.
