Loving tributes paid to Taekwondo instructor Johnny Black who has died
A top Taekwondo instructor from Chudleigh, who was coaching Olympic hopeful Tiegan Flay, has died.
is employer, Teignbridge Council confirmed Johnny Black, 59, died of a heart attack yesterday evening.
Known as Captain Fitness, he ran his own Taekwondo school at Newton Abbot Leisure Centre.
He also worked at the district authority run venue as a health and fitness officer and gym manager.Johnny also taught fitness classes there alongside his wife Tricia.

Johnny had been working for us for a good few years and his classes were always so popular. He taught hundreds of people classes at the centre each week."
The fitness fanatic had been teaching Tiegan, 15, from Newton Abbot for eight years.
The Coombeshead Academy student is the Junior Olympic programme."
He had a real passion for life and Taikwondo," said her mother Jacqui."I'm sure Tiegan will make him proud."
