Make the most of sunshine, says Met Office as there's rain on the way
The sunniest summer in seven years is set to give way to heavy rain this weekend.
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Friday, Saturday Saturday in the Westcounty.
The warning covers large parts of Devon and Cornwall of Cornwall and large parts of the UK.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Some locally heavy and persistent rainfall is expected, particularly across Wales and parts of England. This may cause some flooding from rivers or surface water.
“There is still significant uncertainty as to where and when the heaviest rainfall and greatest impacts will occur.”
The Met Office announced last week that this year the UK had enjoyed the sunniest and driest summer since 2006.
