Malborough murder charge man in Torquay court
A 22-YEAR-OLD man accused of murder in Malborough, near Kingsbridge, appeared at Torquay Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
Jermain Maguire, from Penarth, South Glamorgan, was charged with the murder of 32-year-old Andrew Wingren, from South Wales, following an incident in the Higher Town area of Malborough in the early hours of Saturday, February 2.

Maguire, who wept in the dock, nodded to confirm his details before the charge was read aloud.
His defence solicitor told the court: “He and the deceased were very close friends and had a drunken fight.”
