Man airlifted with serious injuries after three-vehicle collision on A39 near Bideford
A local man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision on the A39 near Bideford at lunchtime on Saturday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the A39 at Fairy Cross at 11.55am following the crash.

Police said a black Land Rover Discovery, red MGF sports car and a foreign-registered Citroen C4 collided near to the Atlantic Village shopping complex.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one male casualty from the MGF sports car.

The man, aged in his sixties, was airlifted by a search and rescue Sea King helicopter from RMB Chivenor to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "He was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with a collapsed lung and broken ribs. His condition at this stage is not known."
The occupants of the other two vehicles sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Two fire crews from Bideford attended initially, before the incident commander requested back-up from a crew in Appledore.
The road was closed in both directions between Abbotsham Cross and Hornes Cross for several hours.
Traffic queues were reportedly heavy between Bideford and Hartland.
