Man cut from banger racing car
Fire fighters had to cut a man from the wreckage of a banger racing car on Sunday afternoon.
Two fire engines were called to the banger racing field at Eastleigh near Bideford around 5.30pm after reports of racing driver stuck in his vehicle.

Fire fighters removed the man from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
The driver was taken to North Devon District Hospital via land ambulance.

Fire fighters ensured the vehicle was left in a safe condition. The extent of the driver's injuries are not known.

“driver was 18 year old and had cut on leg plus suspect break - let home from hospital in a splint at around 10pm but has to go back to fracture clinic tomorrow or Tuesday.”
