Man found dead in South Devon village

A man has been found dead following an attack in a south Devon village.

The dead man was discovered on the street in the Higher Town area of Malborough just before 7am on Saturday.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall police are currently treating the incident as an "unexplained death".

A spokesman said: "The man had been assaulted and he was found dead. We are investigating." No more details of the incident have been released.
