Man killed in Okehampton car crash

A man has died after the car he was travelling in crashed in West Devon.

Police were called to the scene on the old A30 at Lewdown in Okehampton on Sunday at 4pm.

A green Citreon Saxo, the only vehicle involved in the collision, crashed killing the passenger.

A police spokesperson said: "a male passenger in the Saxo died of his injuries. Forensic collision investigators were at the scene and are investigating the circumstances which led to the collision."
