Man is released after biker killed in crash

A 25-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a van in Somerset.

The man, from Taunton, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle which was involved in an accident with a black Renault Trafic at 8.25pm on Wednesday.

A 32-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by driving without due care and attention following the incident at the junction of Silk Mills Road and Badgers Close in Taunton.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the man had been interviewed about the collision and released on bail pending further enquiries.
