Plymouth man could not remember assault on partner's son
A MAN repeatedly punched his partner's son after drinking heavily, a court heard.
Trevor Tordoff, aged 29, could recall nothing about the attack, Plymouth magistrates heard.
Tordoff, of Dorchester Avenue, Whitleigh, admitted assaulting 18-year-old Ashley Harbourne by beating.
Angela Furniss, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said Tordoff lived with Mr Harbourne's mother.

She added that the teenager, who lived with his father, was visiting on October 6.
Mrs Furniss said Tordoff was getting increasingly drunk and fell asleep on the sofa at about midnight.
She added that his partner tried to take him up to his bed, helped by Mr Harbourne.
But Mrs Furniss said Tordoff was abusive and scuffled with the teenager, who eventually came back downstairs.
She added: "The defendant ran downstairs into the kitchen and attacked Mr Harbourne as he sat at the table.
"He pushed the complainant back into the cooker and then punched him three or four times to the face and head."
The court heard Mr Harbourne suffered swellings and cuts to his face.
Bill LaHive, for Tordoff, said: "He is absolutely disgusted with himself. The incident is down to drink.
"He had drunk far too much on that evening. He has a good relationship with the young man he assaulted.
"At the police station he said he could not remember the attack but he took responsibility for what happened."
He added he had given up drinking and his relationships with others had improved.
Magistrates ordered a probation officer to carry out a report on his background.
He was released on unconditional bail for sentence on January 10.
