Man rescued from sixth floor flat fire
The Fire Service were called to a report of a smell of smoke and the fire alarm sounding at Duke Street, Devonport, at around 11:30pm yesterday evening.
Two fire engines from Camels Head, one fire engine from Greenbank and an aerial platform from Crownhill were mobilised to this incident.
This was a fire involving a cooker in a sixth floor flat. One male rescued from the sixth floor by Fire Service personnel and was treated by Ambulance personnel for the affects of smoke inhalation. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one water jet and a fan.
