Man's body found in North Devon flat

The body of a man aged in his 60s has been found in a flat in the Newport area of Barnstaple, North Devon.

Police and paramedics were called to the address in Water Lane Close, where it is believed a housing officer discovered a body at 11.42am yesterday.

The man’s body was found on arrival and the death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious, said a police spokesman.

Officers have been investigating at the scene.
