Mary praises pupils' town of gingerbread
A group of students have produced this incredible replica of their home town out of gingerbread – which has won praise from baking legend Mary Berry.
The pupils spent 120 hours designing, baking and assembling the gingerbread into 60 buildings of the ancient town of Bruton, Somerset.
Each carefully-crafted model has been made to exactly replicate the town's buildings – with pupils even melting boiled sweets to make stained glass windows for the church.
Their amazing scene includes the 15th century Packhorse Bridge – an iconic landmark in the town – and dozens of homes complete with tiny festive wreaths on the front doors.

The students, from £27,000-a-year King's School, used a staggering 45kg of gingerbread mix, 30kg of icing and 2kg of mini marshmallows to create their masterpiece. TV's Great British Bake Off presenter Mary Berry has been in touch with the school to congratulate the 15-17-year-old pupils on their gingerbread scene.
Rose Vigers-Belgeonne, head of food science at King's School, came up with the festive idea after watching Great British Bake Off contestants create gingerbread structures. She said: "I decided to teach each of our 60 GCSE and A-Level Home Economic students to make their own gingerbread house.
"Then it dawned on me that we would be making 60 buildings, which was an awful lot. We decided to make a replica of the town and the level of effort was incredible."
