Westcountry McDonalds franchisee David Wynne is set to create 45 jobs in Cornwall in 2013.

Last year, the fast food chain created 3,500 jobs, exceeding its target of 2,500.

Mr Wynne started as a McDonald's employee, almost 30 years ago, but in 2002 became a franchisee, steadily upping his portfolio of outlets.

He said: "In 2012 we added some fantastic crew from the local community to our team, many of whom were starting out in their first job and may otherwise not have had the opportunity to join the world of work. As a local employer, I believe it's important for all those who can, to continue giving young people in particular the chance to get workplace experience.
