The Dartmoor Pony Training Centre will be holding an open day on October 30, giving people a chance to see Dartmoor Hill Ponies who have just completed a five-day wild pony training workshop.

Visitors meet the ponies and learn about methods used to get them from "wild to mild".

Nationally renowned Sarah Weston, of Intelligent Horsemanship, will be on hand to talk people through the various non-confrontational but very effective methods used. There will also be a representative from horse feed specialist Horsehage, which will be giving away samples and answering questions. Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony will also be there and will have a demonstration of what the ridden Dartmoor Pony can do.

The workshop runs from October 25-29. Spectator places are available at £20 per day.
