Emergency services were called to Landulph, near Saltash, today, following reports of a crashed microlight aircraft.

On arrival, ambulance crews found a man trapped inside the aircraft, so called for assistance from Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service. Two appliances from Saltash and one from Bodmin were dispatched to the scene.

Fire & Rescue crews assisted in releasing the man, together with Westcountry Ambulance personnel. The air ambulance was also in attendance.

Devon & Cornwall Police were later able to confirm that the man had been transported to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, and that his injuries were "not serious".
