Mobile cancer support unit helped more than 100 people during visit to Plymouth
A MOBILE cancer support unit which visited the city centre helped more than 100 people.
The Macmillan Cancer Support mobile unit visited Plymouth where information and support specialists provided free, confidential advice and support to 105 people.
Amanda Cummings, Macmillan mobile cancer information and support specialist, said: "Last year we were visited by almost 60,000 people in their local communities and we want to reach and support even more people this year.
"The response from people in Plymouth was really positive, some visitors just wanted a chat, or to pick up some information leaflets and some had more complex medical or financial questions. We also had a lot of queries about fundraising which were much appreciated."
