Mothers, the way nature intended
Everyone else might be wrapping up warm – but a group of mothers has been posing naked in their local landscape to raise money for charity.
The 2011 Mother Nature calendar features 10 mothers from Cheriton Fitzpaine in mid-Devon enjoying the beauty of the local region – just as nature intended.
All the pictures were taken within five miles of the village by photographer Dawn Hannemann.
Ms Hannemann captured the naked ladies braving the cold to pose out in the snow, up trees, on top of hills, in streams and in fields.
The mothers hope the venture will raise more than £2000 to benefit local children
Megan Henderson, otherwise known as Miss October, was one of the mothers who came up with the idea.
She explained: "We thought this would be more fun than a cake stall or jumble sale, and raise more money."
The calendar was unveiled at the village's Ring 'o' Bells pub – which held a quiz and curry launch night. A total of £700 was raised at the event.
The calendar is being sold in the Cheriton Fitzpaine Post Office and Evans Newsagents in Crediton, as well as various other local outlets. It is also available to buy on eBay.
The price is £8 each or £15 for two. Anyone wanting to buy a copy can e-mail cheritoncalendar@btinternet.com.
