“your "filtering" (in other words - appearing from nowhere )is fine until you get your "filtering" wrong .... then its a stupid car driver who got your "filtering "wrong . Who the heck do you think you are to expect everyone else to dodge you ? If I knew you was coming I would have baked a cake .”

“And there isnt one of us on the roads that dont see idiot bikers flying around . When I see or hear that one has come a cropper I dont gloat . But at the same time .... dont feel sympathy for the idiot that only seconds before was showing off and thought he was above the rest of us . Life is a ***** ....”

“@the real skom ... I have had a car licence for nearly 50 years ... an ex hgv driver with contintal experience as well.... and a full bike licence even before I had a car licence . I also still have a pcv ... or is it psv . I have so many driving licences I have forgot the names of them ocver the years. I was a motorbike courier in London when I was younger ..... so dont even dare to lecture me on qualifications and stilll being alive 50 years later .”

“jabbathebutt
"twisting in and out" as you call it - or filtering as we call it, is legal.
I challenge your assertion that every bike you see is ridden in a stupid way - that is a ridiculous statement. This means one of two things and, to be charitable, i'd suggest your observation skills are severely lacking - which makes you one of the drivers that is a danger on the roads.”

“The only time I ever see a motorbike being ridden properly is when there is a group of them doing lessons . Every other single motorbike I see is being ridden in a stupid way . Thats why they choose to ride them .They want to get places quicker and twist in and out . And they are so surprised when they come unstuck when not driving properly .
To keep blaming car drivers for motorbike deaths is ridiculous .”

“It isn't just Plymouth car drivers. this week in Exeter I have been forced onto the pavement by 2 cars who didn't think priority rules applied to motorbikes and drove straight at me and a van driver who sat 2 feet off my back wheel then undertook and nearly hit me (missed by a couple of inches) when I moved into a right hand filter lane.
They aren't much better behaved towards other cars”

“This is just another road incident between two motorists. One did something stupid and one wasn't driving defensively enough to allow them the space to be stupid. The outcome usually results in the most vulnerable one being injured.
You only have to look at the statistics to realise that two wheels are a high risk form of transport.”

“I meant to add that it also applies to cars that have the same lighting, only it is twice as bad. I didnt actually say they were illegal I said they were a pain!”

“@paulmh66, must be my accent but you and others who disagreed with my comment have misunderstood my comment. I applaud all bike riders who have their lights turned on at all times and wish some car drivers would show the same courtesy when required during daylight. What I was saying is that some LED lights can throw out the same light as a car or lorry on full beam which I am sure you will agree can be blinding when it is oncoming or in your rear view/side mirror. Nuff said?”
