A collision between two lorries and a car resulted in more than 200 litres of fuel leaking onto the M5 yesterday. One lane of the northbound carriageway in Somerset was closed after the incident, which happened just before 11am between Dunball and Edithmead. Two fire crews from Bridgwater and a rescue tender engine from Taunton attended. The occupants of the vehicles suffered minor injuries, but the lorries leaked approximately 200 litres of fuel. Crews used environmental packs, soil and sealing putty to mop up and stem the leaks and also made the car safe.
