Mum pleased with new path
JOURNEYS to school are safer at Bampton Primary School thanks to recent changes to the school path, says a parent.
The former school has now been demolished to make way for a housing development, and the developer behind the scheme has also made changes to the road and path which children use to access the new school building entrance.
Lucy Bull, 33, who is a school governor as well as having two children at the school, welcomed the enhancement, saying: "The changes to the access have been a great improvement in terms of safety. The continuous path has made it very clear where children have to walk, allowing them to follow a path and then take a crossing across the road within the school grounds.
"This really improves the appearance of the school entrance as well as making the journey to school safer."

Developers Devonshire Homes say as well as improving pedestrian safety, the changes also provide drivers with a clearly defined route in the way they access the school or the new Meadow View development.
Traffic is already using the road.
