NHS Plymouth recommends contacting your local dentist first to see if places are open.

Addresses and telephone numbers for the city's 27 practices can be found at www.plymouthpct.nhs.uk

Alternatively call 01752 434111 and details can be given.

To be placed on the Plymouth database for an NHS dentist, patients can ring, write or email.

Call 01752 434111, email plymouth.dentistry@nhs.net or write to NHS Plymouth, FREEPOST, NAT 22278, Plymouth PL6 5ZQ. Application forms can be downloaded from www.plymouthpct.nhs.uk

Emergency and urgent dental care can be obtained via your dental surgery or by contacting the Dental Access Centre on 0845 155 8070. After 6pm on Fridays and on bank holidays, contact Devon Doctors on 01392 823682.

Other advice can be obtained from NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
