ARGYLE have had good preparation for their game against Bradford by staying in the north of England after the 3-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

The Pilgrims squad travelled to a hotel on the outskirts of Shipley in West Yorkshire on Saturday night.

The players were allowed time to themselves on Sunday, with many of them using the gym facilities and swimming pool at the hotel.

After dinner that night, the squad had a game of bingo arranged for them.

Then yesterday morning they trained at Football Conference North club Guiseley, in preparation for the visit to Valley Parade tonight.

Argyle manager Carl Fletcher (right) told Herald Sport: "It was not too far away from where we have been staying. They had a good 3G pitch we could use.

"It was a light session and we didn't do anything too strenuous. It was just to get their legs going again."

Fletcher admitted the facilities at the hotel had been excellent. "The staff have been really accommodating and helpful," he said.

"You can't all be together 24/7 so the lads have had the chance to go off and have time to themselves.

"They have rested their bodies and minds to make sure they are ready for the game tonight."

“Sounds like a good "jolly" to me. I reckon with my bad back I could have participated (with the help of the pain killers) :-)”
