Natalie Melmore inspires England in Adelaide
Torquay’s Commonwealth Games bowls champion Natalie Melmore and her former Kings club-mate, Sian Gordon, are almost halfway through the group stage of the women’s world outdoor triples championship in Adelaide – and have yet to lose a match.
The England trio – lead Jamie-Lea Winch, from Warwickshire, Melmore and Gordon – chalked up convincing wins over Ireland (26-6), Holland (24-10), Australia (16-11) and Norfolk Island (24-9), and then completed a perfect weekend with a thumping 21-7 win over the United States.
