National honours go to WMN award winners
Two previous winners of the WMN Cornwall Farm Business Awards featured in the line-up for the Farmers' Weekly Awards in London last week.
Nearly 1,300 guests from the world of agriculture gathered at the Grosvenor House in Park Lane to see Cornwall Farmer of the Year 2012, Jeremy Oatey, take the Arable Farmer of the Year 2013 Award. The judges were impressed how Jeremy had; "developed his diverse and progressive business in a very short time by matching products to the market".
Mark Andrew, winner of WMN Best Farm Contractor 2012, was a finalist in the Contractor of the Year 2013. Starting his contracting business in 1994, he has built up an impressive fleet of equipment for carrying out his grass and forage services.
Pam Johns from Coodes Solicitors, principal sponsors of the Cornwall Farm Business Awards, said: "This was a superb outcome for them personally, but also a great result for Cornwall".
