A decision on a controversial building to be located on a Westcountry seafront is expected to be made on Monday.

Exmouth Town Councillors will take a vote on whether to support plans for a bus shelter and an undercover area which could be used for community events at The Strand.

Two proposals for larger buildings with facilities such as a retail space or a cafe have already been rejected, sparking a public outcry that it was in the wrong place.

Town Council deputy leader Bill Nash said he hopes colleagues will support the new, scaled-down proposal.
