BARRATT is set to reinforce its commitment to the Plymouth housing market with the launch of a new development in the city.

Unity Green launched last week offering buyers a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

The mix of homes, which include brand new designs from the country's leading housebuilder, will offer a selection of homes for both first-time buyers and families looking to move up the housing ladder.

There will be showhomes of both the Barwick and Thornbury designs.

"Barratt homes have always been very popular with homebuyers in Plymouth and we are pleased to be adding Unity Green to our presence in the city,'' said sales director Caroline Hill.

"Our current developments include PL2 and Brunel View – both of which offer a wide range of opportunities for young professionals through to family homes in a thriving new community.''

At Unity Green Barratt will be providing a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes from the housebuilder's latest range of home designs.

Caroline explained: "The focus is on what customers want from a new home.

"That means traditional looking exteriors combined with modern, airy interiors; bigger windows to increase natural light and more flexibility in how the available space is utilised."

Many of the homes feature open-plan floor layouts with the integration of the kitchen and dining areas.

The width of the floor-to-ceiling French windows will be doubled to not only maximise natural light but blur the boundary between inside and outside spaces. In the bathrooms there is now a higher specification with larger showers among the main features.

Caroline believes that location will also be key to the success of Unity Green with the development offering easy access to the city centre, transport links and schools.
