New support centre creates three jobs
A Poole-based business has expanded into Devon with the opening of a new support centre in Plympton.
Pilkington Marine Engineering, is a dealership specialising in the repair, servicing and spares for high speed MAN marine engines. Its expansion has created roles for three new engineering staff, including an apprentice in his fourth year of training.
In the wake of the opening of its new base in Bell Park, Plympton manager Dave Walters said that following the apprentice's graduation later this year, the business would create a permanent role for him and seek to recruit a new trainee.
Mr Walters added: "Our philosophy is very much about nurturing talent and encouraging expertise."
