Top Northumbrian pipe player Kathryn Tickell's new show about the North Tyne Valley
TOP Northumbrian pipe player, Kathryn Tickell, brings her new show to the Landmark on Friday. Interweaving songs, tunes and spoken-word narrative, Northumbrian Voices is performed by a six-strong cast spanning three generations. It promises to lead listeners on a magical, moving, humbling and often hilarious journey through the culture and lore of her family's native North Tyne Valley. The show will no doubt be an insight into the very heartland of her world-renowned prowess on the Northumbrian pipes, and her talent as a fiddler and singer.
