MICK Groves, best known as the lead singer with the Spinners, joins the bill for a nostalgic show in Paignton this weekend.

Mick (pictured) lives in Torbay, and is still busy gigging and recording new music.

He is part of the Step Back Tribute Show at the Palace Theatre, Paignton tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm.

The all-singing and all-dancing variety show also features Vivien Lesley and Barrie West, who recently appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh Show; Mike Holgate singing the Byrds and Bob Dylan; Pendulum 5 with a Shadows tribute; Keith Carver as Roy Orbison; Michael Jamie Carter as Neil Diamond plus Ross McMullan.

TOMORROW night at The Attic in Torquay there's a double bill of Matthew & Me, plus Fire Island Pines.

Back now for their fourth Torbay show, Totnes group Matthew & Me are currently one of the south west's top acts, while Fire Island Pines hail from Cornwall and boast three guitars, brass and even some xylophone.

The night is hosted by Home Economics, and founders Jamie McGuinness and Josif Wild will be playing DJ sets.

The music starts at 10pm.

AFTER a hugely successful 2011 gig, the Blue Walnut in Chelston welcomes back Annabelle Chvostek for a gig tomorrow night.

This time she will be joined by Tony Spina on drums and Jérémie Jones on bass.

Annabelle is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, born and raised in Toronto.

Her debut album, Ressilience, was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year.

Local osteopath and songwriter Graeme Pollard supports.
