Olympics come early
THE Olympic Games may be just a month away, but children at a Mid Devon primary school have already held their own version of the greatest sporting show on earth.
Burlescombe Primary School has been hosting its own Burlecsombe Olympics taking place over two weeks, and culminating with its very own closing ceremony and sports day combined held on Friday, July 6.
The children held a range of sporting events between the opening ceremony – complete with their own Olympic torch – and the drawing to a close of the festivities with the closing ceremony.
