Omelette on the cards after school hens lay
YOUNGSTERS in Tiverton have been celebrating the first three eggs laid by their school's chickens.
Tidcombe Primary School headteacher Simon Green said: "We are very excited about it and one lucky class might get to make a Spanish omelette next week. Unfortunately, there won't be any chicks for the children to enjoy as they don't have a cockerel."
Mr Green thanked Sharron Phillips for helping the children to look after the chickens.
