PHOTOS: Perfect weather in North Devon for this year's Star Trek
THERE were perfect weather conditions for this year's night walk, Star Trek.
Fifty eight teams, comprising a total of 320 walkers, took part in the 16 mile figure-of-eight route, starting from the base camp at Woolacombe on Saturday night.
All but a couple of teams completed the challenge with a large number arriving home in the set time of seven hours and 20 minutes.
Each stage was just over 2.5 miles and teams had to answer clues along the way, some of which were cryptic.

The event, in its 20th year, was organised by Ilfracombe Rotary Club and Ilfracombe Compass Rotary Club.
Mark Thomas, president of Ilfracombe Rotary, said the event went very well indeed with perfect weather conditions.
He said: "The organisers are very grateful for the commitment of the walkers, many of whom have undertaken Star Trek on numerous occasions."
He said they were very optimistic it would raise more than £30,000 to be shared primarily between the three main beneficiaries: North Devon Hospice, Children's Hospice South West and the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal.
Smaller donations will also go to organisations that helped on the night.
Mr Thomas said the event would not be possible without the support of numerous North Devon companies, including Philip Dennis Food Service and Ilfracombe Wholesale Group which donated the food for the walkers.
He also paid tribute to Chivenor Air Cadets who help out every year, mainly with parking arrangements.
