This is Devon

Sledges were out on high ground over Dartmoor at the weekend despite most of Devon avoiding the snow.

The region managed to escape the worst of the big chill and travel disruption caused by heavy snow across parts of the rest of the country.

The Isles of Scilly was one of the nation’s hot spots, reaching balmy temperatures of 9C yesterday while the rest of the country barely made it above freezing.

The Westcountry will generally remain dry over the coming few days with a continued risk of sharp overnight frosts and freezing fog.

Some sunshine should develop through the days though, with light winds predicted.
