Judges said of the recyclable box DS Smith Packaging came up with "elevated a brown corrugated box to a truly premium presentation pack".

They said: "It's a corrugated box – but not as we know it."

The seventh annual UK Packaging Awards, the biggest and most prestigious for the packaging sector, took place at the London Hilton Hotel.

Tony Foster, sector director at DS Smith Packaging, said: "To be recognised in this way is a huge honour for the team in Launceston, who work hard to innovate and deliver the best solution for each customer.

"To come out on top in three separate categories underlines the truly exceptional nature of the pack and the team that produced it.

"The end result is achieved through a combination of design innovation, creativity and awareness of the environmental impact of the product and process behind it."
