Paddy Ashdown talking war
ELDER statesman Paddy Ashdown will be in Torbay to talk about one of the greatest wartime exploits.
The former Lib Dem leader will be appearing at the Torquay Museum this month.
He will be giving an illustrated talk on his new book A Brilliant Operation: The Cockleshell Heroes and the Most Courageous Raid of WW2 on Friday, October 26, at 11am.
The event has been organised in conjunction with The Torbay Bookshop, Paignton. Matthew Clarke, owner of the bookshop, said: "Torquay Museum is the perfect venue for hearing about such an important part of our history and the extraordinary bravery shown by these men 70 years ago."
