Paignton off to solid start
PAIGNTON ladies got their winter season off to a good start with three points out of four from two matches with Exeter over the Christmas period.
The first of the games, away at Exeter, ended 9-9 after a tight contest, with Kris Westacott bagging three goals and Jo Thorpe adding two for Paignton.
Thorpe continued her goal scoring form in the return game at Clennon Valley, finding the net four times as Paignton secured a dramatic 9-8 victory, the winner coming nine seconds from time through Rachel Litt.
Paignton coach Doug Litt said: "I was very pleased with the team performance and they played well against a much stronger and more experienced team."
