If you are the parent

carer of a child or young person aged from 0 – 25 with additional needs, we

would like to invite you to our third annual conference, with a focus on Health

and Wellbeing, on Wednesday, 14th March 2012 from 9.30 until 3 pm at

Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre, Buckfastleigh, Devon TQ11 0EE.

Coffee and conference

packs will be available from 9.30 onwards and the conference will start at 10

am. Each speaker will focus on a different aspect of health and wellbeing,

workshops will run during the day and practitioners will be on hand to offer

guidance on a wide variety of topics including sleep, alternative therapies, finding

reliable medical information, puberty and sex education for young people together

with practical tips for parents on coping with transition.

Further information will

be available from both local and national organisations and professionals, who

work with families who have children and young people with additional needs in

Devon, will also be attending. This conference should present individuals with an opportunity to discuss specific queries with other parents, professionals or

staff from Parent Carers Voice.

With this event promising

to be as successful as our last two conferences you do need to reserve a place

by calling 01271 328508 or e mailing parentcarervoice@aol.com.  Don't forget – as with all our events and

meetings we pay for travel and childcare, and of course the excellent lunch

too!

Note: Any professionals

who wish to attend should contact Parent Carers Voice.  Professional places are by invitation only to

enable maximum numbers of parents to attend.
