Park, West Buck and Newport schoolchildren get visits from famous authors
AN AWARD-winning author has paid a visit to two North Devon schools.
Pupils at West Buckland Preparatory School were visited by children's author Chris d'Lacey on Wednesday, October 3 while students at Park Community School had the pleasure of a visit later in the week.

Park pupils also enjoyed visits from authors Ally Kennen and Tanya Landman. Newport Primary School pupils were entertained by Tanya, who gave a talk on her Murderously Good Plots series, after being invited over to the senior school.
Sally Wheldon, librarian at Park, said the author's visits helped encourage students to pick up books: "If you can get them young, you've got them for life."
