Paul Sturrock hopes to help struggling Liskeard Athletic
FORMER Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock will be putting himself in the 'firing line' by hosting a question and answer session in aid of ailing Liskeard Athletic at Lux Park tomorrow evening.
Sturrock is donating his services to the cash-strapped Peninsula League outfit in the hope of raising funds and also awareness of the Blues' plight.
The Scot, who led the Pilgrims to the Championship from the Football League's lowest tier, said the event, labelled 'a night with Paul Sturrock', would be a review of his football career and life and also a 'Q and A' which he reckons will of 'great interest to Argyle fans'.
Sturrock said: "I'm really concerned and sorry that Liskeard are struggling financially and want to do anything I can to help their cause.

"When I first moved to Plymouth from Scotland around 13 years ago, I was quickly made aware that Liskeard were one of the most successful non-league sides in the area.
"And now I'm living back in the area, it's really sad to see the club has fallen on hard times, as it is a great set-up at Lux Park.
"But the bottom line is their finances are not good at present, which is real shame.
"So, in addition to me talking about my life in football as a player and a manager, I'm happy to put myself in the firing line with a Q and A as I know there will be a lot of Argyle supporters waiting to quiz me."
Sturrock added semi-seriously: "The questions can be on any subject and I'll even try my best not to tell any fibs."
Entry to the 'session with Sturrock' at Liskeard's Lux Park on Friday will cost £7.50 and there is also a buffet and bar.
