Paul Wotton is back in action at Plymouth Argyle after rib injury
PAUL WOTTON made a successful return to action after injury when Argyle beat Torquay United 2-0 in a development game at Plainmoor yesterday afternoon.
The experienced centre-back (right) played for 80 minutes of the reserve team Devon derby before he was substituted.
Wotton had suffered broken ribs in Argyle's season-opening 1-0 defeat away to Southend United on August 3.
The 36-year-old was hurt in a collision with Pilgrims' goalkeeper Luke McCormick shortly before half-time at Roots Hall.

Wotton resumed training four weeks after sustaining the injury but had to wait until the game at Plainmoor to make his playing comeback.
Curtis Nelson also played against Torquay, in the centre of midfield, after he was suspended for Argyle's 1-0 win against Bristol Rovers in League Two at Home Park on Saturday.
