“The fact of the matter is, you should always approach any crossing with caution, expect the unexpected at all times. I believe it states words to that effect in the Highway Code, even if the lights are green for the driver, that doesn't not guarantee the crossing will be clear of pedestrians. There could be a slow moving pensioner just out of view behind another vehicle, for example, also, if the other vehicles are waiting at the crossing, that's enough to tell me someone may still be crossing the road.”

“Evs....talk about deluded, first Evs says its the drivers fault, now she says ( on another thread ) the driver and students are at fault.further, she says the light was red when everyone else says it was green and it makes you wonder how she would have known as she was travelling in the opposite direction.Indeed how did she witness the accident in so much detail if she was on the oher side of the road, not paying attention to her side clearly. This person is nothing less than an opinionated troll,LOL.”

“A good case for police to carry guns. I was fired at in Germany in 1967 for jaywalking and fined 2 marks. Well, OK, he fired into the ground beside me.”

“why should i apologise for the trauma caused andrew e ??? as said by another poster the taxi was going too fast for the circumstances as I WITNESSED...so i will comment how i like.
and i am a professional driver with over 20 years experience and i can comment how i like about the driving attitude i witnessed by the driver of the taxi, which like a lot of drivers is shocking and that they think they own the road.
get ready for the red arrows again.”

“dazcar..furthermore the police clearly felt the driver was prudent, rreasonable and competent, but of course you know better.
you should apologise and thank the driver for her care and avoiding serious harm to the blind students, who should be made to pay for the damage to the drivers car.”
