“It's good that wotton put himself out, but funny that everyone makes it such a negative event.
Last season after he rejoined us our defending improved dramatically and was remarked upon even by the biggest plebs on the internet and it has to be said that our defending has been lacking since.
People forget that Wotton the captain of our club for many years alongside players like Friio was instrumental in the securing of two consecutive championships, has this been forgotten already? I think those events alone would make him a hero in a lot of young peoples eyes. Better that he would be seen as a hero than some of these so-called actors and singers who live dubious lifestyles.
We all know the true heroes are those who would lay down their lives for the sake of their fellow man and in a time of war and conflict I've lost relatives and close friends myself, but in a time of relative peace men like Wotton are not bad shouts as mentors and role models.”

“article writer maybe could have done with re-wording
possibly meant something like football hero/idol - more than likely idol
although i wouldnt want to play like him, wouldnt say he was a great player to try and model your game on
either way, the lads a big argyle fan, wotton his favourite player - he got to meet him for doing good work.
