The extreme weather racing across the South West is not likely to effect Plymouth Argyle's home game against Chersterfield this afternoon.

Using Twitter, the club reassured fans that, in spite of the heavy rains forecast to fall throughout the region all day, the game would be going.

"Today's #pafc v Chesterfield game is ON – NO planned pitch inspection. Get yourself down to the Park," Plymouth Argyle tweeted at 09.58am.

The game kicks off at 3pm.

“janner843 - you still watch argyle so you are still supprting them, as I do, regardless of results. My coment was directed at the posts saying they would not go and support the team. I made no comment on them not being entitled to an oinion, just that, in my opinion, we do not need people like them!”

“Supporters come from all shape and sizes , different opinions make conversation , i myself dont like the way we're playing , dont like defeats or even lossing points at home , but being a supporter means " support " easy in good times and a drain in bad , but as a supporter i'll be there , i dare say moaning groaning maybe cheering clapping hopefully praising , looking forward to a chat over a victorious pint with "who was my man of the match in green, theres 5 to choose from "
It's hard being an Argyle supporter , but its my club .”

“Could not agree with you more Greenman except please do not flatter them by calling them supporters. No doubt from the comfort of their armchairs they will be the first to applaud to-days victory. Ever the optimist with fingers crossed.COYG”

“Does'nt matter if it's on, I've had enough of Brent and Fletchers mismanaement of PAFC and will be keeping my £20 firmly in my wallet today, that I no doubt would have wasted at Home Park.”
