Rosie, a radiographer, said: "My waters broke at 9.30pm on Sunday so I had a bit of a wait but he was a lovely early surprise."
Paul and Amy Davison from Plymstock also welcomed daughter Evie into the world at 4.35am.
Then at 4.52am, Roselyn Fahy gave birth to Keisha Alexa much to the excitement of her sister JL and dad Michael.
After two days of contractions Keisha Alexa weighed 8lbs 13oz.
Michael said: "It's a very exciting start to the new year. We'll be seeing family later but unfortunately the Filipino side of the family will have to wait, but we will Skype them!"
Shortly afterwards, at 4.54am, Hannah Stewart gave birth to third son Moray weighing in at 7lbs 8oz.
Hannah and proud dad Colin had a wait on their hands for their son, he was due on Christmas Day, and then the date was pushed back to December 28.
Then after Hannah was induced the exciting wait was finally over.
And his two brothers, Finlay, aged five, and Harris, aged three, are looking forward to meeting him.
Hannah said: "It really is a great start to the new year and a lovely surprise, we're absolutely delighted."
Zena Williams, aged 33 from Stonehouse, gave birth to her third son, baby Harry, following a C-Section at 9.06am.
Dad, Paul, and Harry's brothers Reece, aged 13, and Cody, aged five, are also delighted at the new arrival who was born on his due date.
Zena said: "It's nice he was born today, it's very memorable and no one will ever forget his birthday!"

“The first baby born at Derriford hospital in 2013 was born at 12.23am, an entire hour before what has been published above! They were in the suite up from my daughter! You might want to do your research a little better next year and visit all the wards! D'oh!”
